Redtail Collective is a family-run artisan venture rooted in the heart of Preston Valley, where the charm of Redtail Downs Farm inspires their unique creations. Annie's wheel-thrown and sgraffito handcrafted pottery and her sister Sam's intricate macramé pieces capture the rustic elegance of their surroundings, blending traditional techniques with a touch of pastoral beauty. Cynthia Dix
Having lived in the Preston Valley and the surrounding area for some twenty odd years, I am constantly inspired by the wonderful natural environment - the birds, flora and other fauna, creating beautiful paintings and prints, scarves, bags, cushions and cards. I am never more at peace than near the river among the trees. I have studied painting and sculpture at ECU South West have had the benefit of learning from many other tutors at Claremont Art School, Fremantle Arts Centre and Stirling Street Arts Centre. I have exhibited at Bunbury Regional Art Galleries, Busselton’s Art Geo. I’ve been involved with the Preston Valley Artisan Trail since its beginnings in 2016 and love meeting all the local folk from the region and further afield.

Christine Blowfield is an Award Winning South West Artist. She is represented in both International and National collections. Her works speaks of an environmental tone for protection and appreciation. Large, textural and colourful canvasses are her signature.

Annie Dixon-Hotchkin
I enjoy all aspects of pottery; wheel-thrown, hand-built through to sgraffito techniques. Since relocating to the valley 14 years ago, my creative spirit has flourished, drawing inspiration from the breathtaking landscape, the local nature, and our charming Redtail cockatoos. One of the biggest supports for me on my journey have been the beautiful community at the Busselton Pottery Group. I have also had the opportunity to connect with talented south west artists like Sally May Mills, Marilyn Dreaver, Jolene Hewison and Georgia Zoric, each of whom have enriched my journey. Just over four years later I wanted to align my debut market stall to take place with the Preston Valley Art Trail; it’s a significant showcasing of the local artists in the area and one that I want to be a part of moving forward. Moving forward, I would like my pottery to be known for its storytelling, capturing the essence of our beautiful surroundings from tree to sea, in every piece.
Heather Elliott-Smith
Heather Elliott-Smith is an established glass artist who uses kilns to create beautiful art works through fusing and slumping processes. Her work includes functional items, whimsical ornaments, in addition to exquisite sculptures and centrepieces that highlight the beauty and colours of the glass.

Sally Young is a talented artist known for her work in textile art and felting, where she masterfully combines fibres, colours, and textures to create captivating pieces. A founding member of the Preston Valley Artisan Trail, Sally has contributed her unique vision to this vibrant community, showcasing her art that blends creativity with nature.
Her passion extends to sustainable fashion, where she advocates for eco-friendly choices, and she also serves as a lecturer at South Regional TAFE, promoting access and equity in education. Sally’s studio, built from recycled materials, is a space where she connects with nature, drawing inspiration from animals and local birds for her painted works.
Sally’s journey is a blend of creativity, sustainability, and community, with her art reflecting her deep appreciation for the natural world and her commitment to positive change.
